Three companies have started production of screen display with 2048x1536 QXGA resolution for the next generation Apple tablet, the iPad 3. Three companies are expected to produce displays with extreme pixel density that Apple is getting ready to launch the next iPad, which is expected to appear in February or March next year.
Richard Shim, an analyst with NPD DisplaySearch, in an interview with Cnet News states, 2048x1536 QXGA panel production has dimual for next-generation iPad. There are three suppliers of display Samsung, Sharp and LG Display.
Although the launch of the Apple iPad 3 is imminent and will not be a surprise, one thing to know certainly iPad 3 will use a new screen with a resolution of 2048x1536. Other news is that the use of system-on-chip quad-core A6 with the new graphics core, which is directly associated with an increased resolution of the screen.
Some estimates, the 4G/LTE connectivity support on the iPad 3 as well as new types of batteries and some believe, that the next generation iPad will be thicker and heavier than it already is. Of course, Apple is not willing to comment many rumors.
The good news, iPad 3 is likely to emerge in the near future, probably around March or February. Even the projected finish first and leave the Foxconn factory in December.
